Hailey Idaho is a small town in Blaine County, located in the beautiful Wood River Valley. Around the town the Sawtooth National Forest provides many opportunities for outdoor activities around the year. You can hike, cycle and go horseback riding or fishing in the summer, or ski and snowboard in the winter. The Rotarun Ski Hill is Hailey’s own ski destination but the larger Sun Valley Ski Resort is only a short distance away. There are several other mountains in the area that offer more winter sports opportunities and great hiking routes.
A fun event that attracts many visitors is the Days of the Old West that is celebrated on Independence Day. The many events include rodeo, a parade and a theatrical play with an old Wild West shoot-out. If you want to visit the town, getting to Hailey Idaho is easy. The Friedman Memorial Airport receives daily flights from many destinations including Seattle and Salt Lake City, and there are seasonal flights to and from Los Angeles.
